Out on a Limb: What Black Bears Have Taught Me about Intelligence and Intuition

February 24 at 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm

Free

A program on black bears by author and wildlife biologist Ben Kilham, Ph.D., will be featured at the brief annual meeting (open to everyone) of the Norfolk Land Trust. Ben’s love of, and devotion to, black bears has allowed him to study their habits and interact with them for more than two decades. He, his wife Debra and sister Phoebe have brought orphaned bear cubs into their home and enabled them to return successfully to the wild.

Ben is the author of “Among the Bears: Raising Orphaned Cubs in the Wild” and “Out on a Limb: Origins of Intuition and Intelligence.” He has also been the focus of several news articles and documentaries, including National Geographic’s A Man Among Bears and the Animal Planet’s Papa Bear. Reservations are recommended for this program. Please call the library at 860-542-5075 or reserve your seat online: http://www.norfolklibrary.org/events/
