Demos and Open Studio, Paul-Robert Blackman

Paul-Robert Blackman, of Belle Mountain Arboriculture, makes furniture and household items using reclaimed timber and traditional carving techniques. He will demonstrate various techniques all day Saturday and on Sunday morning. He will be at the Norfolk Hub on Sunday afternoon until 3:00 p.m., but the studio will be open to visitors.

Saturday:
9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Hand carving serving bowls with traditional gouges and mallets.
12:00 to 3:00 p.m. Wood turning demonstration, using reclaimed timber to create wooden mushrooms and spheres.
3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Open studio. Guests are welcome to experiment with certain tools and materials.

Sunday:
9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Wood turning demonstration.
12:00 to 5:00 p.m. Open studio.

Use the driveway between #26 and #38 Windrow Road. The shop is located behind the stone carriage house, in the old Coolwater Sugar House.
