DESCRIPTION:Cancelled. Pianist Po-Wei Ger lives in NYC\, where there is a blizzard warning with anticipated 15+ inches of snow for Sunday into Monday. So he has wisely chosen to postpone the trip to Norfolk\, as the conditions would make travel back to the city hazardous. The Norfolk Library will have an announcement on its website when they have scheduled a new date for his concert. \nPo-Wei Ger was a fellow in the Norfolk Chamber Music Festival in 2019. He graduated with a Masters of Music from the Yale School of Music in 2021 under the guidance of Melvin Chen and is currently pursuing his Doctor of Musical Arts at the Manhattan School of Music. An avid chamber musician\, Po-Wei has participated in various well-esteemed chamber music festivals and concert series. In 2024\, he won the Manhattan School of Music Concerto Competition. \nThe concert is free and sponsored by the Norfolk Library\, which asks that you register if you plan to attend.
