Hike the Peaks Challenge

Take the three-day, six-peak Norfolk Land Trust hiking challenge: snap a selfie at the top of all six trails, then present the images to win a Land Trust "Icebox of Connecticut" t-shirt. Download the peaks map or pick it up at a WIN information center. The peaks are Dennis Hill Gazebo, Dennis Hill Pavilion, Haystack Mountain, Pine Mountain, East Summit Ridge and Beech Hill. Animal Embassy has rescued or adopted more than 500 exotic animals over the years and currently maintains over 100 non-releasable animals in educational exhibits, including small mammals, reptiles, amphibians, birds, arachnids and insects, many of which you'll get to meet. The commission maintains a wet meadow full of wildflowers, and it draws many types of butterflies, bees and other insects.
