Tour: Norfolk’s Historic Village Green
July 30 at 4:00 pm - 5:00 pmFree
Norfolk’s village green was the center of communal life and a gathering place from the time the town was founded but, although the triangle that was to become the Green had been cleared and planted with elms as early as 1788, it was not until the second half of the nineteenth century that it began to take on its distinctive appearance. In this tour, Norfolk Historical Society director Barry Webber will point out and explain many of the Green’s historic features.
Meet at the Historical Society museum, 13 Village Green.
