Paul-Robert Blackman, of Belle Mountain Arboriculture, makes furniture and household items using reclaimed timber and traditional carving techniques. He will demonstrate various techniques all day Saturday and on Sunday morning. He will be at the Norfolk Hub on Sunday afternoon until 3:00 p.m., but the studio will be open to visitors. Tour of Stained Glass Windows, Battell Chapel

Take a guided tour of Battell Chapel's magnificent stained glass windows, designed by D. Maitland Armstrong and Louis Comfort Tiffany. Three large windows designed by Armstrong and made of opalescent glass fill the west end of the chapel. Tiffany's five smaller windows face them from the east; they depict the four seasons, with a brilliant sunrise as the center. Tours start on the hour and last approximately 45 minutes.

Marie Kendall Ice Storm Photographs

After the Great Ice Storm of February 1898, Marie Kendall spent a week photographing the landscape in and beyond Norfolk. Crystal Portraits, a short film produced by the Norfolk Historical Society, presents her amazing photographs on Saturday and Sunday. A companion exhibit, Stuck Indoors, showcases some of the museum’s collection of children’s toys, including the magnificent Coffin family dollhouse.

Stained Glass Window Tours, Immaculate Conception Church
