A special event designed to showcase the town’s many natural and cultural offerings.
Photographer Peter Coffeen has had three exhibitions at the Norfolk Library: two of his own work and one of Secessionist photogravures from his personal collection. This third show of his photographs combines existing and new work.
Peter writes, ”I am interested in discovering shapes and designs, both in nature and the built environment, which provoke mystery, affection, wonder and questions. Along with color, the gray scale and, of course, light. Looking, seeing and getting at the essence of a place or thing itself keeps me interested. Inspiration comes from the work of Giorgio Morandi, William Bailey, Charles Scheeler and a master of natural light in photography, Lilo Raymond.”
The library associates will host an opening reception on Sunday, August 6, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Show hours are Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and Sunday from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
