Bird & Plant Identification Walk
Start your morning by exploring the natural world right in the heart of Norfolk! Join birder Laurie Green from Great Mountain Forest and the Norfolk Land Trust for a relaxed, 45-minute session focused on identifying local birds and native plants found in our own City Meadow. Learn tips for recognizing common species by sight and sound, discover interesting ecological connections and sharpen your observation skills. Whether you’re new to birding and plant identification or already enjoy spending time outdoors, this walk is a fun way to deepen your appreciation of the local townscape.
This program is free and open to all ages. Bring binoculars if you have them, wear comfortable walking shoes and dress for the weather.
