Weekend in Norfolk needs your help. Here’s what we need and how to sign up.

• Be a WINbassador—represent the friendly face of Norfolk. During every Weekend in Norfolk, we set up tables in the Norfolk Hub so that visitors can come get lists of events, directions, other flyers, T-shirts and general information about our town. We need people to give a couple hours of their time to man the tables. The Hub is warm in the winter, cool in the summer and refreshments are always available.

• In the summer, help set up tents for Sidewalk Sunday, our street fair highlighting Norfolk artists, artisans and organizations. We close Station Place and put up our bright yellow, pop-up tents to lend to the first 10 individuals who sign up to participate. Please send us an email if you’d like to assist. Our 11th annual summer Weekend in Norfolk is Friday, Saturday and Sunday, July 31, August 1 and August 2.

• Create your own volunteer task! We can use help with so many other things—putting out and picking up signs, helping with sound equipment, moving tables and chairs, assisting one of the event organizers, distributing posters and schedules—there might even be something you see we need but don’t even know about! Please send us an email and let us know what how you’d like to help. We always welcome ideas and suggestions.
