Garden Tour: Community Garden

August 2 at 11:00 am - 4:00 pm
Free

Come and visit the Norfolk Community Garden and meet some of the gardeners. You will see the beds in full summer bloom: children from the Summer Gardening Club have their own two beds where they grow pumpkins, tomatoes, peas, lettuce, kale and more, and we keep beds for the Food Pantry.

The Community Garden, sponsored by the town Recreation Committee, is located on the grounds of Botelle Elementary School. In the fall we will involve the fifth and sixth graders in an after school program to continue this exciting adventure.

Our resident compost expert, Doug Semmes, will be demonstrating the art of composting, and there will be a free herb seedling for the first 25 visitors to take home.
