Native Seed Giveaway

February 22 at 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
Free

Native wildflowers are good for our environment. Their blossoms supply nectar for pollinators and the plants themselves are food for many beneficial insects. Jump start your pollinator pathway with free seeds! On Saturday and Sunday, the Norfolk Conservation Commission will be giving away seeds of meadow plants native to the Northeast, describing their benefits and explaining the best way to sow them. You can choose among Black-eyed Susan, Purple Coneflower or Northeast Native wildflower mix, depending on your growing conditions.

Quantities are limited so show up early.

Printed copies of the town’s natural resource inventory will be available for purchase. An electronic version is freely available on the town website; click here.
