Art Show: Celebrating 50 Years of Art

Berkshire woodworkers Tom Nichols and Vito Valentini will be selling their handmade turned bowls and covered boxes, wood-framed mirrors, cutting boards, serving trays, charcuterie boards and sushi trays all weekend in the Royal Arcanum Building.
Immaculate Conception Church will be open for viewing its magnificent stained glass windows, created by Franz Mayer & Co. of Munich. Docents will be present to answer questions at the specific hours scheduled for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Please be aware that hours could change if a church service is scheduled at the last minute.
Exercise your creativity! Fine artist Leslie Watkins of Dandelion Cottage Design, Arts & Crafts is offering free art lessons and demonstrations in watercolors and papercrafting. Learn a new skill, purchase beautiful handcrafted items and have the chance to win a door prize. On the second floor above the National Iron Bank.

She received a BFA from Moore College of Art & Design in Philadelphia and worked as an art director for Vanity Fair and New York Magazine before shifting to a freelance design career. Battell Chapel’s beautiful stained glass windows were designed by D. Maitland Armstrong and Louis Comfort Tiffany. Three large windows designed by Armstrong and made of opalescent glass fill the west end of the chapel. Tiffany’s five smaller windows face them from the east; they depict the four seasons, with a brilliant sunrise at the center. […]

Artists Kathleen Borkowski and Aaron Borkowski will exhibit their work in an exhibition entitled “You and Me.” Kathleen has been a lettering artist since the 1980s when she took her first calligraphy class. She puts letters, words and symbols together to create an image. Aaron is currently creating images using digital phone photography, which he […]
