Dale Savage started playing drums as a teenager. He played rock and roll and was the drummer for the local band, Surprise Attack. After taking a long break to pursue other interests, he has renewed his love of drumming. Norfolk pianists Linda Bell and Maura May will perform a selection from a piano duet by Claude Debussy: his Petite Suite for four hands. Debussy first performed the suite at a Paris salon in 1889, playing with his publisher and former fellow student at the Conservatoire de Paris, Jacques Durand. The piece was later transcribed for orchestral and chamber ensembles. The setting is the sanctuary of Norfolk’s Church of Christ Congregational.
